Hotmail
So hopefully in another couple of years when Gavin starts to make friends (and learn to type), we will remember his account information and be able to talk to family and friends through e-mail.
Those of you who would like his private e-mail address just send me an e-mail. I don't want to post it since you never know who will be reading this blog. Hopefully he won't be bombarded with junk mail in the next few months. Hmmm... I guess I'll have to sign in periodically to make sure they don't close the account? Not sure...

Saturday

but I can dream, lol. Jon says he will help me out with that but I honestly doubt it. Right now Gavin is on his way back from Great-Grandma's house so I'm trying to run around and get last minute things in order. I LOVE having Saturday afternoons to myself. I think it's good for Gavin to get out and be around his Grandpa and Great-Grandma for a few hours, and of course I get some time to run errands and do housework. Yay! There are a few times I actually go and get my nails done or shop at the mall... but not as often as I would like.
Anyway I should wrap this up since he will come running through the door any minute, wanting dinner and some love. This morning he decided he wanted to wear sunglasses in the house.

Hot Pink Nails

Just kidding of course. I decided to paint my toes and Gavin got very excited about it and pointed to his toes so I figured why not? Now he's dancing around the house and pointing them out to everyone he sees, very cute indeed. There are lots of Metro sexual men and I would be proud regardless. Jon is pretty Metro himself (gel products, aftershaves, aromatherapy, mint scrubs, etc). Jim (FIL) wasn't too happy about it though....

No news
Yesterday our family had a great day. Jon had the day off from work so he stayed home with Gavin and let me run over to UTC Mall. I got a new maternity bathing suit and a few other odds and ends and finally replaced our cell phone that Gavin had broken weeks ago. Once I got back home Jon made burgers and fries and we had a nice summer day picnic at the beach. We piled all our towels, a cooler, umbrella, and beach toys into Gavin's red wagon and spent a couple of hours spashing in the waves and laying around. The water has been warming up (65ish) so it's not terribly cold but not the warmest either. Gavin really enjoyed jumping into the water hole that Jon dug out for him.
Just as I was typing the phone rang and it was the Nurse letting me know results are not in yet for my biopsy. It looks like I may have to wait until my Post- Op appointment on Friday before finding out the news. Did I mention how much I hate waiting?! Lol. I keep telling myself it will be fine but I wish I could know sooner. Oh well...
So after our day at the beach Gavin and I took a nice warm bubble bath and got ready to go to Michelle's house. We had a great time cooking and eating with friends, and it was really nice to see how well Ari and Gavin played together. I ended up staying until 8pm, which is late for us! Gavin did not want to leave but as soon as we started driving he fell fast asleep and I got him into bed with just a few whimpers. (Oh he also slept in until 7am!! A very rare occurance).
I loved being busy and having so much to do yesterday but today I don't feel like doing anything. I wish I didn't feel so tired and nauseated all of the time. I really feel badly when Gavin watches TV and doesn't get to go out and play with other kids. I know I can't constantly entertain him but sometimes I wish I had someone I could call and just take him out for a bit so I could stay at home and relax. Hopefully I can get Jon to take him to the park this evening or even just play a new game with him. Gavin gets tired of seeing mommy's face all day everyday. :)
Sorry no pictures. I haven't been good about carrying the camera around.

Post-OP
It's going to be very hot today and tomorrow (in the 90s) so the beach is going to be packed. I'll just be laying around enjoying the cool air from our AC.

A Little Stressed
On Tuesday I spent the afternoon at Urgent Care only to be told I needed to go to the ER for further testing. I was having terrible upper back pain and a tight burning feeling in my stomach. The pain lasted for a few days and was getting worse so I decided to get it checked out. At PB Urgent Care the Dr. told me she thought it was gallstones or something to do with my gallbladder and that I should go to the ER to get an ultrasound done and determine what the problem is. SO after waiting for 2 hours at Urgent Care I went to Sharp ER and waited a total of 6 hours before I finally got to see a Doctor. During the 6 hour wait I got blood work taken and an ultrasound of my gallbladder done. In the end, thank God, it was not my gallbladder or gallstones. I had severe stomach acid which could have been caused by a possible ulcer, GERD, or who knows what else. I have had heartburn before and it had never felt like what that, but they had ruled out anything worse so I had to leave not knowing what to do next. I decided to try Pepcid AC since Tums had no affect on the pain. Pepcid AC did the trick! Now I feel dumb for spending an entire day at the ER and being so stressed out, just to find out it was stomach acid! I honestly did not know it could last all day long (for that many days) and cause so much back pain. I guess I have my pregnancy to thank or maybe the stress of my surgery and other family issues compiled with it. Now I get to look forward to more medical bills besides the cost of the surgery, yippee!
I hate to only have negative things to say so I will add a few good things about this week to balance it all out. Today I feel much better and more like my happy-self. Jon spent the entire day yesterday cleaning the apartment and making me feel relaxed and very loved. Gavin has been more vocal and learns new things every day, it's so amazing to watch him grow up. I have very supportive family and friends and I am thankful for all their love and help. AND I'm very glad it wasn't gallstones because that would have required surgery and I think I would have had a mental breakdown if I had to have gallbladder surgery and breast surgery all at once.
After this week is over I can't wait to sigh in relief and be thankful that I don't have cancer. (I am being optimistic). I mean 2 out of 10 is pretty good odds in my favor. Wish my luck!! I will let you all know how it goes. I hope it won't be too long before I get the pathology results. What seems strange to me is that due to my pregnancy the surgeon said she is only going to use local anaesthesia (normally they would make me groggy and out of it with general anaesthesia). I really don't like the idea of being fully alert while being cut open. I guess I just have to trust the Doctor and maybe they can give my a Valium if I start to freak out. :)

US Open

Hello!
Wow It has been forever since I have written a blog. I don't know where to start off. On Sunday Gavin and I went to his friend Jack's 3rd Birthday Party. It was at The Plunge pool so we were able to swim and play in a bouncy jump for two hours! We had pizza and blue iced cupcakes. I felt like a whale in the water since I'm now 12 weeks pregnant... imagine me in another few months! :o) Gavin had a blast but has been having issues with water lately. He cries if I mention the word bath or if I start running the bath water. I try and make it as fun as possible and I even get into the bath with him so he won't be scared. Luckily it has gotten a bit better the past week and he cries until he gets into the bath. After he's in the water playing and having a good time he is fine, but I feel like I am torturing him when I try to get him to get into the bath tub. SO when we went to the pool on Sunday he started out crying and screaming, but after we splashed around and got a few toys he calmed down. I think he gets so upset because it's something he can't control. He feels mad and frustrated because when I say it's bath time, it's bath time, and he knows he has to deal with it. I wouldn't mind letting him tell me when he wants a bath, but whenever I give him an option he vigorously shakes his head, NO!
I guess it's just a battle he'll have to realize he can never win. The rest of his life he has to take showers or baths so he'll have to get used to it. I try and make it as painless and fun as possible, but sometimes it's just a battle of wills.
Anyway the party was fun besides his fear of water. The kids looked adorable with blue iceing smeared all over their faces. It was also really nice to see Melissa, Job, and Diego, since they aren't members of MTSD anymore, and it has been months since I had seen them. She is due in September (pretty sure), but she looked much cuter in her maternity two piece. I can never wear a two piece, even when I'm not pregnant.
